Find Rest in God. Find Rest in Jesus.

How do you find true rest? In the hustle culture we live in today, this is something that is difficult to do. Not impossible, but very difficult.

This is the story of my life. I just don’t know how to stay still. Ask my husband, he will tell you. Ask my 2 older children, they will affirm it.

Let’s just say it’s been a growth journey.

But there IS good news!

Over the last year there is something that God has been trying to teach me, and that is that the ONLY true rest we find in this life, is with HIM and in Jesus.

This is definitely one area that I am strong in-praise God! My strength is that I do know how to find rest in HIM.

The truth is that you CAN find true rest in God by spending daily time with Him and in HIS word.

Yes, of course, you need to do other practical things to get rest (like sleep enough, take short naps as needed, do morning stretches, learn when to say no to what are not priorities, etc.).

But you NEED to make God your main source of rest if you want to truly feel at peace in every way.

Exodus 33:14 says The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” The Lord was talking to Moses. The Lord also talks to us with this same message.

There are more verses I have learned about finding rest in God. I want to share three more versus with you and practical tips on how you can find true rest.

I share these on this week’s podcast episode.

For the month of March, in honor of celebrating Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day (March 8th), I’ll be dedicating my episodes to all daughters of God as we will be highlighting some special women in the bible.

Stay tuned and I wish you a wonderful, restful, and peaceful month of March!
